Matric360 ("we", "us", "our") is an online learning platform for South African Grade 12 learners studying the CAPS curriculum. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website and apps.

2. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, password (stored securely hashed), and learner grade.
Parent linking information: link codes used to associate a parent account with a learner.
Learning activity: lessons viewed, questions attempted, answers submitted, exam results, XP, streaks and progress.
Device and technical data: browser type, operating system, IP address, and basic usage analytics.
Payment information: handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card details.

3. How we use information

To provide and personalise lessons, practice, exams and progress tracking.
To allow parents to view their learner's progress when linked.
To process subscriptions and manage your account.
To improve the platform, fix bugs and prevent abuse.
To send essential service emails (account, billing, password reset).

4. Legal basis (POPIA / GDPR)

We process personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act ("POPIA") of South Africa, primarily on the basis of contract performance, your consent, and our legitimate interests in running the platform.

5. Learners under 18

Matric360 is intended for Grade 12 learners. Where required by law, a parent or guardian should provide consent. Parents can request access, correction or deletion of their learner's account on request.

6. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run Matric360 (e.g. hosting, payments, email delivery) under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

7. Data retention

We keep account and learning data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

8. Security

We use industry standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and secure authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9. Your rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Contact us using the details below.

10. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside South Africa. Where this happens we take steps to ensure appropriate protection.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email.
